Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the ZTE Grand X Max 2 to your computer via USB
- When prompted, turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” on the phone; otherwise enable the feature from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the audio files on your computer
- Copy the desired audio files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder and “Ringtones” / “Alarms” / “Notifications” directories
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change The General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch “Settings”
- Under “Device”, tap “Sound & notification”
- Tap “Phone ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
- Optionally, you can turn “Also vibrate for calls” on or off
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.
- Open “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & notification”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Select a notification sound and tap “OK” to confirm
