LOADS of scams are running on ebay. ALWAYS check the buyers feedback and remember the golden rule: "If it's too good to be true, it probably is", especially with ebay. Also, NEVER pay for goods up front using a bank transfer or cheque, always use a reliable payment system like paypal or nochex etc. as you may then have a source of relief from them should the deal go bad.

I bought my Samsung V205 on ebay for 1/2 price what it would have cost new, a total of $150. Yes, there are scams, but be careful who you buy from, make sure they have lots and lots of positive feedback, and make sure to pay in such a fashion that you have insurance. I didn't think twice about paying extra for the PayPal auction insurance, even though I didn't need it.
The hilarious thing is that the V205 is a picture phone that can store pics in the phone, and it came with a whole bunch of vacation pics someone left in it. The moral of the story is, if you sell your picture phone, make sure you wipe out all the pictures.I do techinical support for medium-sized midwest cell phone company and have had experience with these phones:
Audiovox: CDM 8500, CDM 8600, CDM 8410, 8900, 9000, CDM 9100, 9150, 9155, 9500, PRT9200 Bag Phone
Kyocera: 1135, 2035, 2135, 2235, 2325, 3035, 3245, 5135, 6035, 7135, KE414, KE434, SE 44 Slider
