Back Up Application Data:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data and settings to your Google account
- Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored when signing in with your Google backup account
Back Up Contacts:
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
- Tap the account type and account you want to sync contacts with
- Enable “Contacts” if necessary
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above can be restored automatically upon signing in with your Google backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the XOLO Era 2 to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Using the Explorer, locate the media files on the phone storage
- Copy the media files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the XOLO Era 2 to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer and locate the media file backups on the computer storage
- Copy the files and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
- You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB port
