Back Up App Data:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Go to “Settings”
- Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
- Turn on “Back up my data” to back up Wi-Fi passwords, app settings and data to your Google account
- Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow your account to restore data automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account
Back Up Contacts on a Google Account:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch “Settings”
- Go to “Accounts” and tap “Google”
- Select the account you want to sync contacts with
- Ensure “Contacts” is enabled
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: Contacts backed up using the steps above will be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google account.
Back Up Contacts to Storage:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Launch “Contacts” and go to “All Contacts”
- Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
- Tap “Export to storage”
- Make sure you recall the backup file’s name for future use
- Tap “OK”
Restore Contacts from Storage:
- Launch “Contacts”
- Access “All Contacts”
- Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
- Select to “Import from storage”
- Wait for the device to finish scanning the storage and select the vCard you want to import
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the ZTE Avid Trio to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media Sync (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files on the phone
- Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the PC
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the ZTE device and computer
- Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media backup files on the PC storage and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
