Back Up (and Restore) App Data:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data”
- To allow app data to be automatically restored when signing in with your Google backup account, enable “Automatic Restore”
Back Up (and Restore) Contacts:
- Launch “Contacts”
- Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
- Select an account type and tap the account you want to use for contact syncing
- Enable “Contacts” if needed
- Then, tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the Lenovo K6 Note to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer and use it to locate the media files on the phone
- Copy and paste the media files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between the Lenovo K6 Note and computer
- Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- On the computer, launch File Explorer
- Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the PC
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder they originate from
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
