Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the Archos device and computer
  2. Enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Locate the audio files on the PC storage
  5. Copy the files you want to use for ringtones and transfer them on the phone storage (preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Alarms” / “Notifications” folders)
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Change the Phone’s General Ringtone:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound & Notification”
  4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
  5. Optionally, turn “Also vibrate for calls” ON or OFF

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal storage.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Tap and hold the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
  4. Tap “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Press “OK” to confirm

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
  2. Tap “Sound & Notification”
  3. Tap “Default notification ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  4. Tap “OK” for confirmation
