Back Up App Data:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data” to allow app data and settings to be backed up to your Google account
- Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data and settings to be automatically restored when signing in with your Google backup account
Back Up Contacts:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
- Select the account type and account you want to use for contact syncing
- Enable “Contacts” if necessary and tap “Menu” > “Sync now”
NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Archos to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the media files on the phone and copy them
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer storage
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Archos 55 Helium Ultra to your computer via USB
- Turn on “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media backup files on the computer storage
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, in the “Media” directory or preferably in the folder(s) they originate from
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
