Back Up App Data:
- Open the apps drawer and launch “Settings”
- Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
- Turn on “Back up my data” to back up app data and settings to your Google account
- Turn on “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account
Back Up Contacts:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
- Select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing contacts
- Tick the “Contacts” check box if necessary
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you log in to your Google backup account on the phone.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between the BLU Studio XL2
- Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and use the Explorer to locate the media files on the phone
- Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the PC storage
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Restore Media Files form a Windows Computer:
- Connect the BLU Studio XL2 to your computer via USB
- Turn on “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups on the PC storage
- Copy the backup files and transfer them on the phone storage (preferably in the “Media” directory or the folders they originate from)
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
- You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB port
