Sync iPhone Contacts with a Google Account:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with the OnePlus.

  1. Establish a USB connection between your iPhone and computer
  2. Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
  3. Access the “Info” section and enable “Sync Contacts With
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and choose an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is complete, switch to the OnePlus and register the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access your account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts
  4. Select the desired contacts and tap “Settings” > “Export vCard
  5. Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of these steps:
    • Use the Internet browser to import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the OnePlus 3T to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it using “Contacts

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, you can also transfer your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and share contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
  3. Tap “Email” once done and write a new email containing the vCard attachment
  4. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  5. Switch to the OnePlus 3T and open the email
  6. Download the vCard attachment and import it using “Contacts

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use on both iOS and Android is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other types of files cross-platform without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the OnePlus
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method like “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone or “Receive” on the OnePlus. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
