Back Up App Data:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings etc. to your Google account
- Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored when signing in with your Google backup account
Back Up Contacts:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
- Select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing
- Enable “Contacts”
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”
NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Archos Diamond 2 Note to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer and use it to locate the media files on the phone storage
- Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer storage
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Archos Diamond 2 Note to your PC via USB
- Turn on “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups
- Transfer the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directories they originate from
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
