Back Up & Restore App Data:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Personal”
- Tap “Backup & reset” and enable “Back up my data”
- To allow app data, settings etc. to be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account, enable “Automatic Restore”
Back Up and Restore Contacts:
- Launch “Contacts”
- Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
- Select an account type and the account you want to sync contacts with
- Enable “Contacts” and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Lenovo K6 to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate and copy the media files on the phone
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer storage
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Lenovo K6 to your PC via USB
- Enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the explorer to locate the media file backups on the PC storage
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory they originate from
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
