Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the ZTE Grand X 4 to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the desired audio files on the computer storage
- Copy and paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” / “Alarms” directories
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” ad tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Phone ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts stored on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.
- Open “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone to use
- Tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Select the desired notification alert and tap “OK” to confirm
