Back Up & Restore App Data:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Access “Settings”
- Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, passwords etc. to your Google account
- Turn “Automatic Restore” ON to allow app data to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account
Back Up & Restore Contacts:
- Open “Contacts”
- Go to “Accounts”
- Select an account type and tap the account you want to sync contacts with
- Check the “Contacts” box if necessary
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: To restore contacts backed up using this method, sign in with your Google backup account and allow it to sync contacts with your phone.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the BLU Studio G2 HD to your computer via USB
- Turn “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate and copy the media files on the phone storage
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the BLU phone to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Using the Explorer, locate the media file backups on the PC storage
- Copy the files and paste them back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
