Sync iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Afterwards you can sync the account data and contacts with your Plum smartphone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the PC and click the iPhone once connected
  3. In iTunes, access “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account. Alternatively, click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once done, switch to the Plum Axe Plus 2 and register the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:

NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts
  4. Select the desired contacts
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  6. Once the vCard file has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of these steps:
    • Use the Internet browser on the PC to import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the Plum Axe Plus 2 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use “Contacts” to import it

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can use third party applications to share your iPhone contacts. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard containing your contacts
  3. Once done, tap “Email
  4. Compose a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Plum Axe Plus 2 and open the email
  7. Download the vCard attachment and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use for transferring iPhone contacts is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.

  1. Open the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send” again
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method – such as “Receive” on the Android phone or “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone – and follow the on-screen steps to complete the transfer
