Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Alcatel device to your computer via USB
- On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files
- Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones”, “Notifications” , “Alarms” folder(s)
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Phone ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Press “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, you can choose to enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change a Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set to contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.
- Launch “Contacts”
- Tap and hold the contact whose ringtone you want to change
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Set ringtone” to select the desired contact ringtone and tap “OK”
Change the Notification Alert Sound:
- Open “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Select the desired notification alert sound and tap “OK”
