Back Up and Restore App Data:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to “Settings”
- Under “Personal”, tap “Backup & reset”
- To back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your Google account, enable “Back up my data”
- To allow data to be restored automatically upon reinstalling apps or signing in with your backup account, enable “Automatic Restore”
Back Up and Restore Contacts:
- Open “Settings”
- Access “Accounts”
- Select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing your contacts
- Make sure “Contacts” is checked
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: You can restore contacts automatically the next time you sign in with your backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the Panasonic P85 to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate and copy the media files on the phone
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer storage
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Panasonic device to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate and copy the media backup files
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
