Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the PC
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign into the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in to your iCloud account and access “Contacts
  4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  5. After the vCard is downloaded, follow one of these steps:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it using “Contacts

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your contacts via third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard file containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Tap “Email” to compose a new one and ensure the vCard is attached
  4. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  5. Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send
  6. Lastly, select the desired transfer method and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
