Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with a Google backup account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
  3. Access “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. After the sync is done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts From iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts
  5. Select the contacts you want to share
  6. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  7. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard file containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the backup is done, tap “Email
  4. Compose an email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without needing computer access.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts
  6. Tap “Send” and select a transfer method on one of the devices
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
