Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Lava X28+ to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on the computer storage
- Copy and transfer the files on the phone, preferably in the “Media” directory
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
- Optionally, turn “Also vibrate for calls” ON or OFF
Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.
- Open “Contacts”
- Tap and hold the contact whose ringtone you want to change
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Go to “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Press “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Alert Sound:
- Go to “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Sound & Notification”
- Go to “Default notification ringtone”
- Select the desired notification alert sound
- Press “OK” to confirm
