Back Up & Restore App Data:
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
- Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to be restored automatically when you sign in with the backup account or reinstall apps
Back Up & Restore Contacts:
- Open “Contacts”
- Access “Accounts”
- Select an account type and account you want to use for the backup
- Tick the “Contacts” check box
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”
NOTE: Contacts can be restored the next time you sign in with the backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between the Alcatel and computer
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Copy and paste the files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone
- Launch the File Explorer on the PC
- Locate the media file backups on the PC storage
- Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
