Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data, including contacts, with an Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes and click the iPhone once connected
  3. Go to Info and enable Sync Contacts With
  4. Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
  6. Click Apply to begin the sync
  7. Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android deice

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in to the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
  4. Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings
  5. Click Export vCard to download the vCard
  6. Once done, perform one of the following:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using Contacts

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: You can use third party apps to share your iPhone contacts without needing access to a computer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap Backup
  3. Once the vCard backup file is done, tap Email
  4. Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached. Send the email to your own address
  5. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCards contents to your phonebook using Contacts

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for contact transfer, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without requiring a PC.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the sender device (iPhone) tap Send > Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap Send
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
