Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account, and then sync the account data – including contacts – with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes and click the iPhone
- Access the “Info” section
- Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
- Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to begin the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android device and log in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts”
- Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings”
- Click “Export vCard” and wait for the file to be downloaded
- Follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its content to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: You can also share iPhone contacts using third party applications like My Contacts Backup, which creates a backup vCard of your iPhone contacts that can then be sent via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and access “Backup” to create a vCard
- Once done, tap “Email” and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the app on the Android device via the Play Store
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
