Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer
  3. Click the iPhone and access “Info
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts with
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  8. After the sync is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  6. Once the vCard is downloaded:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Another method of transferring contacts is to use third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup
  3. Tap “Email” and compose a new email containing the vCard backup file
  4. Send the attachment to your own email address
  5. Switch to the Android device and download the vCard email attachment
  6. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send
  6. Then, choose a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
