Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet in order to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer and click your iPhone
- Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
- Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and elect an existing account
- Click “Apply” to begin the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in to the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts”
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- Once done, perform one of the following steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts”
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require access to a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and create a vCard file containing your iPhone contacts
- After the vCard is complete, send it through the app to your email address
- Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use on Android and iOS to share contacts and other file types cross-platform. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share content without requiring a computer.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone via the App Store
- Install the same app on the Android phone via the Play Store
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
