Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the PC and click the iPhone
- Access the “Info” section
- Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts”
- Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your phone
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.
- Open the Internet browser on the PC
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts
- Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- After the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its contents to your phonebook using “Contacts”
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once the vCard is done, use the app to compose an email and attach the vCard
- Send the vCard attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android phone and open the email, then download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android phone via the Play Store
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
- Finally select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
