Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
- Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the audio files on the PC storage
- Copy the desired audio files form the PC and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtone” directory
- Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open “Settings” and go to “Device”
- Tap “Sound & Notification”
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK”
- Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change the General Ringtone:
- Launch “Settings”
- Go to “Sound & Notification”
- Select the ringtone you want to assign
- Tap “OK”
- Optionally, you can also enable or disable vibrate for calls
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts stored on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.
- Open “Contacts”
- Tap and hold the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
- Select the ringtone you want to set
- Tap “OK”
Change the Notification Alert Sound:
- Launch “Settings”
- Access “Sound & Notification” > “Default notification ringtone”
- Select the notification alert you want to assign
- Press “OK”
