Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and go to “Info”
- Enable “Sync Contacts with” and select “Google Contacts”
- Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to begin the sync
- Once the sync completes, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the phone
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the PC
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- Once the vCard is downloaded perform one of the following steps:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android device to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once the vCard is done, compose an email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the vCard to your own address and switch to the Android device
- Open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android device through the Play Store
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
