Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet to sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account. Afterwards you can sync the contacts from the account with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Access “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
- Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to start the sync
- After the process completes, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Access “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- After the process completes, perform one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import the contacts to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone Contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and use it to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Next, use the app to send an email to your own address, containing the vCard file
- Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use for contact transfer, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts without requiring a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android device from the Play Store
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Tap “Send” and select a transfer method
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
