Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and go to “Info”
- Enable “Sync Contacts With”
- Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to begin the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts
- Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- Once done, perform one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app you can use to back up and share contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
- Once done, use the app to send an email to your own address, containing the vCard file
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use for contact transfer is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without computer access.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
- Finally, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
