Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the PC and click the iPhone
  3. Go to “Info
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your account or click “Configure” and select an account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once done, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts
  4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  5. Once the vCard is downloaded:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once done, tap “Email
  4. Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard
  7. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring access to a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts
  6. Tap “Send
  7. Select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
