Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Access Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings > export vCard
- After the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once done, use the app to send the vCard to your own email address
- Switch to the Android phone and open the email
- Download the vCard attachment and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android device via the Play Store
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
