Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with your account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following steps:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Install the app on the iPhone via the App Store
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once done, use the app to send the vCard to your own email address
- Switch to the Android device and open the email
- Download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring access to a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android phone via the Play Store
- Open the app on both phones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
