Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access in order to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and access “Info
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log into the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings
  6. Click “Export vCard” and perform one of the following steps:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, you can also share your iPhone contacts without a computer by using third-party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone via the App Store
  2. Launch the app and create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
  3. After the process is done, send the vCard to your own email address
  4. On the Android phone, download the vCard attachment
  5. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Android phone via the Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts
  6. Tap “Send” and select a transfer method on one of the phones
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the transfer
