Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- After the process completes, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with your account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and log in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- Perform one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts via third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone from the App Store
- Open the app and create a vCard of your contacts
- Once done, send the vCard to your own address as an attachment
- On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring computer access.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone from the App Store
- On the Android phone, install the app from the Play Store
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Tap Send to confirm
- Select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen step to complete the process
