Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes on the PC and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply
- After the sync completes, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share then click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard is done, follow one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook using Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app you can use to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard
- Once the vCard is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the vCard to your own email address
- On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone from the App Store
- Install the app on the Android phone via the Play Store
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired transfer method on one of the phones
- Follow the prompts to complete the process
