Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
- On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the PC and locate the audio files
- Copy the desired files from the PC and transfer them to the phone storage in the “Ringtones” and “Notifications” directories
- Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open “Settings”
- Go to “Sound & Notification”
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK”
- Optionally, you can disable or enable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: You can’t set custom ringtones for contacts located on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.
- Open “Contacts”
- Tap and hold the contact whose ringtone you want to change
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
Change the Notification Alert Sound:
- Open “Settings”
- Go to “Sound & notification”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Select the desired notification alert
- Tap “OK”
