Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to “Info”
- Enable “Sync Contacts With”
- Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Access “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- Once the process completes, follow one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import it to your phonebook via Google Contacts
- Connect the Android device to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone from the App Store
- Launch the app and create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Compose an email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the vCard to your own address and switch to the Android phone
- Launch the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files without requiring computer access.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone from the App Store
- Install the app on the Android device from the Play Store
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
- Finally select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
