Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data and contacts with the Android phone.
- Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and PC
- Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
- Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts
- Click “Settings” > “Export vCard” and follow one of these steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app you can use to share contacts via email.
- Install the app on the iPhone via the App Store
- Launch the app and create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
- Compose an email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the attachment to your own email address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another app you can use is Send Anywhere on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring access to a computer.
- Install the app on the iPhone from the App Store
- Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android device
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts
- Select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the prompts to complete the process
