Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data with the Android phone.
- Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes and go to “info”
- Enable “Sync Contacts With” and sign in with your Google account
- Click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to start the sync
- Once the process completes, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard’
- Once done, follow one of these steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android device to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using the Contacts app
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app you can use to back up and share contacts over email.
- Install the app on the iPhone from the App Store
- Open the app and create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Compose an email and attach the vCard
- Send the vCard to your own email address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without requiring access to a computer.
- Install the app on both phones form the App Store and Play Store
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts
- Select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the prompts to complete the process
