Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Open “Settings” for more display options
  4. Access “Display” > “Advanced
  5. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower value

Enable Battery Optimization:

  1. Swipe up on the home screen and open “Settings
  2. Go to “Battery
  3. Tap “Battery optimization
  4. From here, select an app to optimize it
  5. Additionally, you can tap “Menu” and enable “Advanced optimization

Disable Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable unused connectivity features to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. To disable GPS (Location) and Bluetooth, swipe the Status bar down and tap the respective quick toggles
  2. To disable Wi-Fi, tap and hold the “Wi-Fi” toggle and toggle the switch OFF
  3. Launch “Settings” for more options
  4. To disable Wi-Fi hotspot, first access “Network & Internet
  5. Then tap “Hotspot & Tethering
  6. Select “Wi-Fi Hotspot’ and disable the feature

Remove Unused Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: Third-party apps can perform regular background processes and this can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. To remove third-party apps:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Access “Apps & Notifications
  3. Tap “See all apps
  4. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can provide battery life improvements and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

  1. On the home screen, swipe up from the bottom
  2. Open “Settings
  3. Go to “System” > “System update
  4. Tap “Check or update
  5. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply the updates
