Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account and then sync the account data with the Android phone.
- Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer and go to “Info”
- Enable “Sync Contacts With” and log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to start the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account
- Go to “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts
- Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- Once done, follow one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB< transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use the Contacts app to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: The methods above require a computer connected to the Internet but you can also share your iPhone contacts via third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app you can use to back up and share contacts via email.
- Install the app on both phones from the App Store
- Launch the app and create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Start composing an email and attach the vCard
- Send the vCard to your own email address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard file
- Use the “Contacts” app to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere on Android an iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts without requiring computer access.
- Install the app on both devices from their respective app stores
- Open the app on both phones
- Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone
- Select the desired contacts and a transfer method on one of the phones
- Follow the prompts to complete the process
