Enable Battery Optimization:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Go to “Battery
  3. Tap “Battery optimization
  4. Select an app to optimize
  5. Optionally, tap “Menu” and enable “Advanced optimization

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. In the Notification area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Launch “Settings
  4. Go to “Display” > “Advanced
  5. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout value

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn off the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. Tap the “Bluetooth” and “GPS (location)” quick toggles to disable the features
  3. To disable Wi-Fi, tap and hold the “Wi-Fi” toggle and set the switch OFF
  4. Open “Settings
  5. Access “Network & Internet” for more options and access “Hotspot & Tethering
  6. Tap “Wi-Fi Hotspot” and disable the feature

Remove Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps can perform regular background processes and this can affect the device’s battery life. You can potentially improve battery life by removing unused third-party apps.

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Access “Apps & Notifications
  3. If necessary, switch to “See all apps
  4. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK

Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Scroll to “System
  3. Access “System updates
  4. Tap “Check for updates” and if applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the updates
