When working with leads, I had a hard time understanding what are the core principles of lead management. But after reading a lot of literature, as well as communicating with colleagues, I was able to draw conclusions:
Know what you don't know. Start with an audit, which includes sales.
Get executive buy-in. It's hard to start with management approval, and if you don't go with a good business reason, you'll meet resistance.
Prioritize implementation.
Incentivize and manage change.
Now I'm trying to understand what are call-tracking metrics.

Did you try some courses on Coursera? They are really good for improving your skills in lead generation.

I've heard about these courses. And it would be interesting to take them. But for now it's hard to do because of my study load.
