Bought 2 Cellphones With Cingular, Last Year, For 1 Year Contract. I Was Registered Later To View My Bill On Line, My Upgraded Dates Was 9/9/05, Started Looking Around With Others Servers, Cingular Was Asking Me For $18.00 To Upgraded, Plus $80.00 To 100.00 Per Phones, Could'nt Even Make Calls From Home With Cingular, Got A Better Deal With Verizon On 10/10/05. Just Got A Bill From Cingular Saying That They're Sending Me To Collections, Because Early Termination, I Even Talked To Rep At Cingular Before 8/05, Cause They Registered 1 Phone For 1 Year And The Other One 2 Years And Was Fixed. But When I Found My Contract Papers , Phones Were Purchased On 10/9/04 . They Made A Mistake And Registered 2 Phones With The Wrong Dates, I Didn't Have To Break My Contract , All I Need To Do Is Wait Till 10/05, But They Entered Wrong Dates, And Now They're Changing Me $330.00. What Should I Do, Haven't Talked To Them Yet, Want Your Opinion. Thanks

    Interesting situation

Its an interesting situation that you are in. This is really how the wireless companies screw you! I would recommend calling cingular and tell them whats incorrect so it can be fixed. if you have the paper work and can see where they made a mistake let them know.

My friend was able to get rid of the contract termination fee because he claimed the phone didn't work at all from his house. cingular guaranteed him that it would. when it didn't he stated that in signing the contract you agreed to provide me with quality service that actually worked. Since it didn't work they didn't live up to their end of the bargain; therefore being in breech of the contract.

Honestly this is how these companies really screw you. I work for a prepaid company and if you cant stand the contract i would recommend checking into it. for the sake of not creating spam just click on the link in my profile if you are interested. Good luck with this and hope everything works out okay for you.

IMHO, be enough of a pain in their rears over it and they will just drop it all. Go in to the office with all of your papers and demand to see a manager and get it all straightened out.
