Do any of you have or know any thing about embarq services. I have some very nice phones while we are using a rather cheap LG currently, I would like to know how if it is possible to use the other phones i have. Can anyone help with any info. The most downfall is there are no physical locations in my state to go to for embarq, all sevices are done via the phone.

    thanks
    Marlene

Embarq is the new name of the old Sprint land line company who is now also offering wireless service using Sprint/Nextel's network. Their service plans offer no Night/Weekend minutes as far as I can tell. As far as I know, every other wireless phone service offers unlimited nights/weekends on most of their plans. Like some other companies, Embarq apparently only allows you to use phones you buy from them.
For what you are going to be spending, you might as well go with Sprint/Nextel, as long as you are going to be using that network anyway. Seriously, Embarq's $39,99 plan offer 500 anytime minutes, and if you have their home phone service as well, you get 200 bonus minutes (whoopie). Nowhere are night/weekend minutes mentioned, so I must presume they don't offer them. Sprint/Nextel on the other hand, gives you 450 anytime minutes and unlimited night/weekend minutes (starting at 7 p.m. ) for the same price.
