A friend gave me his cell phone, he was using Fido, im using Rogers. I wanted to switch my SIM card to use his cell phone, but it seems Fido has ''control'' over it !

I tought the service provider was only linked to the SIM card and not the cell phone, but no... Is there any way i can remove Fido from the cell phone instead of buying a Fido SIM card to be able to use it ?

unlock that phone, check ebay canada if there's any seller that can unlocked that phone.
