I've been fairly happy with the Kajeet phone service for one of my kids. However, last month we ported the number to another service to take advantage of a family plan. I found out the hard way that you should never put too much money on your Kajeet account. Kajeet told me that they do not refund money put on the account for this pay-as-you-go service. So, be aware that you should never put too much money on the account in case you ever leave the service. You will never see the money in your pocket again.

That should have been in the terms and conditions.

Also, most pre-paid providers don't offer refunds either if you leave them with money left on the account.
