Btw, I'm aware that we need unlocked phones for pure talk service. But, they stated that their sim cards are compatible with ATT & Cingular Network

From what I understand from my research into ATT MVNO's (basically all prepaid services that use AT&T's network, like PureTalk, StraightTalk etc), you do NOT need to get your ATT cell phone unlocked to use them.

So in theory any ATT cell phone should work with these networks SIM's. For iPhone and some other phones you need to enter some of the network configuration details manually to get data and MMS working. Instructions for this are usually listed on the networks websites.
