I recently purchased a Nokia 5230 from a friend, and I'm wondering if I can get it to work with either Sprint or T-Mobile in the US. I believe the phone is a Nuron (that's how it was marketed in the US, right?) so is this a CDMA phone? Wikipedia made it sound like it is, and Sprint is supposedly CDMA, so is there a way I could make it work with Sprint?
If I can't make it work with Sprint (I'm only looking to use it for calling, really, or just transferring over the number from my old phone that I only use for calling) could I get it to work with T-Mobile? If I use T-Mobile, I'm looking for a prepaid SIM card only that I could use with data, that's it. No texting, calling, etc, is necessary, just the data.
Is this possible? Sorry about the long question; maybe it's simple to someone that knows what they're talking about but I'm not really up on telecommunications all that much.
Thank you!

Is your 5230 unlocked or locked unit? this unit supports GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, meaning its GSM Quad. This will work with T-Mobile. visit timtechs.com if you need unlock code, they may have available if your unit is locked.
