Just purchased an unlocked phone. It's a 4-band GSM phone. I'd like to use it in the US for now but have the option of using it in Europe with a different provider in a few weeks. I've read stories of us providers locking your phone to their service for a certain period of time. That would mean I couldn't switch to a different sim card for use in Europe. I do not need an unlimited plan. I'm not a big user. How exactly can I handle that? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Re: Plan for unlocked phone

There is a plan that will currently work with your phone. The cost is $45 per month, and will include unlimited talk, text, and data. You can choose either an AT&T or T-Mobile SIM card. I recommend choosing whichever SIM card is compatible with your phone. If your phone is compatible with AT&T's network, choose the AT&T SIM card. If it's compatible with T-Mobile's network, choose the T-Mobile SIM card.

The cost of the SIM card, including the first month of service and shipping, is $59.99. Each additional month is just $45. Click Here for more information on purchasing the SIM cards.

Thanks, Hildretech for the details, although I didn't have in mind anything that expensive.
